Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), India's largest IT services provider, is planning to roll out 46,000 job offers to freshers in FY24, in line with the company's continued focus on hiring and investing in talent. This announcement comes after TCS hired 44,000 freshers in FY23 and onboarded 46,000 freshers this year so far.

TCS's focus on hiring freshers and providing them with the latest training and technologies to succeed in the industry.

TCS's Focus on Freshers

TCS's focus on hiring freshers is in line with its philosophy of investing in young talent and training them in the latest technologies. With a vast network of training centers across India, TCS is known for its training programs that equip freshers with the skills they need to succeed in the industry.

According to Milind Lakkad, TCS's Chief Human Resources Officer, the company has been hiring more freshers to build a strong talent pipeline, and the company's focus on hiring freshers is expected to continue in the future.

TCS to Honour Job Offers

In addition to its focus on hiring freshers, TCS has also committed to honoring all job offers made to freshers, even during the pandemic. Last year, when the pandemic hit, TCS was one of the few companies that did not retract job offers made to freshers. The company honored all job offers made before the pandemic and went ahead with its recruitment process virtually.

Variable Pay for Existing Employees

Apart from its focus on hiring freshers, TCS has also announced that it will offer 100% variable pay to its existing employees for the year 2022-23. TCS has been rolling out variable pay to its employees for the last few years, and this year, the company has increased the variable pay component to 100%, as a way to reward its employees for their hard work and dedication.

The variable pay will be based on the company's performance, and employees will receive the payout at the end of the fiscal year. According to Lakkad, this move is part of TCS's continued efforts to create a performance-based culture, where employees are rewarded for their contributions to the company's success.
